Rangers close to signing Arfield

Burnley s Scott Arfield is close to agreeing a deal with Glasgow Rangers, according to .

The midfielder s contract expires this summer and he still hasn t signed a new one to keep him at Turf Moor beyond it.

Arfield was born in Scotland and he represented the Scottish national team in the U18 and U21 categories before opting to play for Canada, making 12 appearances for them and scored one goal so far.

He moved to Burnley in 2013 from Huddersfield Town, and to this day he played for the Clarets 194 times and netted 22 goals. Now, it seems he s ready to go back to Scotland where he started his professional career, playing 124 games and scoring 16 goals for Falkirk.

Arfield has been a very important part of Sean Dyche s team throughout his time there, filling the space behind the striker with his clever positioning and physicality while presenting a considerable goal threat.
